Direct flights between India and China could resume by late October 2025, MEA announced. The decision is a part of the government's approach to normalising relations between the two countries. Direct flights were initially suspended in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The suspension was prolonged due to border clashes in the Galwan Valley in June 2020.
