India added a record 29.52 GW renewable energy in FY 2024-25, taking total capacity to 220.10 GW by March 31, 2025, up from 198.75 GW. Solar led the growth with 23.83 GW added, up from 15.03 GW last year, per MNRE. India's solar capacity hit 105.65 GW, with strong growth across ground-mounted, rooftop, hybrid, and off-grid segments.
