International Energy Agency (IEA) said India and China in May bought about 80% of Russian crude oil, available at heavy discounts due to Western sanctions over the war with Ukraine. India has increased Russian oil purchases from "almost nothing to [nearly] two million barrels/day", IEA said. Russia accounted for 45% and 20% oil imports of India and China, it added.
