India captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia in the first-ever women's cricket match at Commonwealth Games (CWG). India, Australia, Barbados and Pakistan are in Group A of the T20I competition at CWG 2022. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma will open the batting for India, while Meghna Singh is making her T20I debut.
