Jitender Pal Singh has been appointed as next Ambassador of India to Israel. Currently a Joint Secretary in Ministry of External Affairs, Singh will replace Sanjeev Singla who served as Ambassador from 2019 to 2024. Singh is an officer of 2002 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and has headed the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran division in external affairs ministry since 2020.
