India and Bangladesh have added five new ports of call on either sides and increased protocol routes from 8 to 10 to boost trade. The two countries signed the Second Addendum to Protocol on Transit and Trade through inland waterways in Dhaka on Wednesday. The Sonamura (Tripura)-Daudkandi (Bangladesh) stretch of Gumti river was included as route number 9 and 10.
