Ginger exports from Mizoram have been severely affected by the India-Bangladesh border closure amid India-Pakistan tensions and Bangladesh's instability. Starfirm chief executive officer Malsawmi on May 12 said the suspension of exports to Bangladesh, the largest importer of Indian ginger, had severely impacted trade and caused a sharp drop in prices across major markets.
