India has banned the export of injection Remdesivir and its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) till the coronavirus situation in the country improves, the Centre said on Sunday. There's potential for further increase in demand for Remdesivir in the coming days, the government said, adding that the Department of Pharmaceuticals has contacted domestic manufacturers to ramp up its production.
