India defeated England by four wickets in the first ODI in Nagpur on Thursday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. India have now beaten England nine times in their last 10 matches at home. India dismissed England for 248 and chased down the target in 38.4 overs. The second ODI will take place in Cuttack on Sunday.
