India has overtaken China as the top smartphone exporter to the US for the first time, driven by Apple's shift in manufacturing amid US-China trade tensions. India-made smartphones now account for 44% of US imports, up from 13% last year, while China's share fell to 25%. The move reflects Apple's growing reliance on Indian production and global supply chain diversification.
