India has once again refused to support China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), becoming the only country in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) to oppose the project. Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan reaffirmed their support to BRI. PM Narendra Modi said connectivity must be respectful of sovereignty. A part of BRI passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
