Ministry of Textiles on Thursday said India has become world's second-largest manufacturer of personal protective equipment body coveralls, next only to China, within two months. Ajit Chavan, Secretary of Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles, said that India decided to manufacture PPE indigenously due to 'ever-increasing prices by the opportunist companies in China due to increasing demand'.
