Debutant FIFA hosts India broke the record for the highest attendance at an U-17 FIFA World Cup, after 13,47,133 spectators turned up to witness the tournament. Each of the 52 matches at six venues across the country saw an average attendance of 25,906. The tournament also broke the record for the most number of goals scored, with 183 goals.
