Dixon Technologies India Chairman Sunil Vachani said in an interview that his company is bringing about a mindset change that global manufacturing of smartphones can happen in India. Dixon has ramped up its production capacity from about 20 lakh smartphones a month to about 40 lakh after the government's cash incentive program began in October 2020 to encourage local producers.
