While addressing the business community of Southern California, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said the Confederation of Indian Industry estimated that India will be a $35-45 trillion economy in 2047. "India...in 2047 can be seen as a powerhouse driving global growth," Goyal added. Goyal invited the business community to invest in India during the nation's "golden period".
