Supreme Court Justice N Kotiswar Singh, speaking at an event, said India cannot be confined to a single religious identity and instead reflects an inclusive and plural character. "There are very few countries that subscribe to all religions like India. India never declares itself to be a Hindu state," he said. He added that the word "Hindu" itself emerged externally.
