India has restricted the export of wheat flour (atta) and other related products like maida, semolina (rava) etc, making it mandatory for all such exporters to seek prior permission for the exports. A Directorate General of Foreign Trade notification said that the restrictions will come into effect from July 12. India had earlier banned wheat exports amid a heatwave.
