India's data centre capacity has surged over fourfold to 1,500 MW since 2020, said Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada. The growth highlights the government's strong push for digital infrastructure, data localisation, submarine cable expansion, and cybersecurity, enabling a robust, secure, and inclusive digital ecosystem.
