Indian Air Force (IAF) officials have denied reports suggesting India wants to join the UK-Japan-Italy Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). The IAF clarified no formal talks happened and reaffirmed its commitment to the indigenous Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program. India prioritises self-reliance in defence, focusing on its own 5.5-gen stealth fighter, due by 2035.
