India has denied Pfizer a patent for its rheumatoid arthritis drug Tofacitinib again, as it sought to enforce intellectual property rights in the country. The company had re-appealed to the Indian Patent Office, which had denied it the first time in 2011. The patent office, which was directed by the Intellectual Property Appellate Board, rejected the drug as an invention.
