A comprehensive review of adolescent mental health in India found that stigma, poor mental health awareness, confidentiality concerns and limited youth-friendly services prevent many teenagers from seeking help. The findings come as India develops a National School Mental Health Policy aimed at creating supportive school environments, improving mental health literacy and strengthening care.
