India eases FDI rules for investments from China, other neighbouring countries

The government has relaxed FDI rules for countries such as China and Nepal that share a land border with India. Under the new norms, investment proposals from these countries in specified sectors will be processed within 60 days. Additionally, investors from land-bordering countries with non-controlling beneficial ownership of up to 10% can invest through the automatic route.
