India’s ambitious 120 kN indigenous aero-engine programme is set to receive approval from the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), marking a major step toward self-reliance in defence technology. The engine is critical for powering next-generation fighter aircraft and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers. Once cleared, the programme will move into advanced development and testing phases.
