Addressing the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "India and Ghana's friendship is sweeter than your famous Sugarloaf pineapple." He said, "The histories of India and Ghana bear the scars of colonial rule, but our spirits have always remained free and fearless." PM Modi further thanked Ghana for conferring the country's national honour upon him.
