With 448 articles and 12 schedules, the Indian Constitution is the world's longest written Constitution. The handwritten document is preserved in special helium-filled cases at the Indian Parliament's library. While the concept of Fundamental Rights and the Preamble were borrowed from the Constitution of the USA, Fundamental Duties and Five Year Plans were adopted from the USSR.
