India imported crude oil worth €144 billion (over ₹15 trillion) from Russia since the Ukraine War began in February 2022, European think tank Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air said. India has been the second-largest buyer of Russian oil behind China, which bought oil worth €210.4 billion. Russia’s cumulative global oil earnings are estimated at around €1 trillion.
