India on Monday formally became the 35th member of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), that aims at the non-proliferation of missiles, rocket systems, and unmanned air vehicles, among others. The membership will enable India to buy high-end missile technologies and reportedly enhance its joint ventures with Russia. This marks India’s first entry into a multilateral export control regime.
