India has more cities among the world’s 50 most heat-vulnerable than any other country, with 14 cities featuring in an Oxford University study of 205 global cities. Indian cities include Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Madurai, Bhopal, Kanpur, Pune, Patna, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Chennai. Ahmedabad ranked second globally, followed by Nagpur at fourth and Madurai at seventh.
