India has lost an arbitration case against the UK's Cairn Energy over a tax dispute, after a similar loss against Vodafone Group. An international arbitration tribunal ruled that India's claim of about ₹10,300 crore in past taxes was not a valid demand. It also asked India to pay the funds withheld along with the interest to the oil explorer.
