The government is expected to limit imports of laptops, tablets and personal computers into India after January, Reuters reported. Under the new system, companies will have to get prior approvals for imports and the government is also considering minimum quality standards to filter low quality devices. Last year, India withdrew a policy requiring licences for shipments of all such electronics.
