India moves to shield EXIM trade amid rising Middle East tensions

Amid rising Middle East tensions and threats of retaliation, India has moved to safeguard EXIM cargo flows. The government has assured stronger facilitation at ports and ICDs, along with faster cargo evacuation to curb congestion. Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the government is closely monitoring shipping routes, costs and equipment availability to maintain supply chain continuity.
