India have named Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand. This comes after India did not name any vice-captain for the recently-concluded Test series against Bangladesh. Bumrah has also captained India once in the one-off Test match in England in 2022, when Rohit was forced to sit out after having tested positive for COVID-19.
