India has opened the first round of applications to allocate import quotas for fully-built passenger cars and goods vehicles from the UK under the India-UK trade agreement. Eligible importers can apply between July 21 and August 4 for 2026 quotas. The trade pact cuts auto import duties from about 110% to 10%, subject to quota limits.
