US President Donald Trump has said that India and seven other nations were granted temporary waivers from the sanctions on Iranian oil as "they really asked for some help". Trump added that the sanctions on Iran may "get tougher as time goes by". India, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Italy and Greece have been given the temporary waivers.
