The Ministry of Defence has completed 13 contracts to procure ₹1,981.90 crore worth of equipment under its Emergency Procurement (EP) mechanism to strengthen the Indian Army’s operational readiness in counter-terrorism (CT) operations. Some major equipments include drones, bulletproof jackets and ballistic helmets. This comes more than a month after India's Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.
