India has proposed an assistance package worth $450 million to Sri Lanka, which was hit by Cyclone Ditwah, Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar announced. "Just as Sri Lanka was recovering from the economic crisis of 2022, this natural disaster has created ‌new ‍difficulties," he said. He is on a two-day Sri Lanka visit as PM Narendra Modi's special envoy.
