India defeated Great Britain 3-1 in men's hockey quarter-finals at the Tokyo Olympics to reach the semi-finals at Olympics after 49 years. The Indian men's hockey team had last reached the semi-finals at Olympics in 1972. They had won gold medal in 1980 Olympics, however, the edition did not have the semi-final stage. India will face Belgium in their semi-final.
