MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Wednesday said that India was examining a request from Bangladesh to extradite their former PM Sheikh Hasina. The request, first made in December 2024, has been reiterated now after Hasina was sentenced to death for her role in the killing of student protesters last year. Hasina fled to India in August 2024 amid the protests.
