India reaffirms target to eliminate Hepatitis B, C by 2030

India has reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate Hepatitis B and C as public health threats by 2030. At the 81st UNGA side event, Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava highlighted India's focus on prevention, screening, vaccination and free treatment. Over 225 million people have been screened, while more than 6,52,000 patients have received free treatment.
