India has reported 2,528 new COVID-19 cases, 3,997 recoveries, and 149 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This comes a day after the country reported 2,539 cases and 60 deaths. The COVID-19 death toll in the country has risen to 5,16,281, while the active caseload declined to 29,181.
