India resumed mango exports to the US, with over 1,000 tonne of Alphonso, Kesar and other varieties having been shipped recently. The exports were halted for two years because inspectors from the US Department of Agriculture couldn't visit India to inspect the irradiation facilities due to the travel restrictions induced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
