India's 166 water reservoirs dip to 28% capacity: Reports

The total live capacity at India's 166 major water reservoirs has dipped to 28.8%, making the advancement of the monsoon crucial to help irrigation, drinking water supply and hydroelectric projects, reports said. Twenty of these 166 reservoirs are linked to hydroelectric projects like Gobind Sagar in Himachal Pradesh, Thein Dam in Punjab, and Rana Pratap Sagar in Rajasthan.
