India's 18-year-old Grandmaster Gukesh D has become the youngest-ever world chess champion. Gukesh defeated Ding Liren of China in Game 14 to win the World Chess Championship 2024 with a scoreline of 7.5-6.5. He is the second Indian after Viswanathan Anand to become the world chess champion.
