India's 1st 'Algae Tree' can release 25 trees worth of oxygen

India's first-ever 'Algae Tree' has been installed in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal which can release 25 trees' worth of oxygen after absorbing carbon dioxide. The vertical machine filled with water and microscopic algae is powered by solar energy and can absorb 1.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, its developers said. The algae convert absorbed carbon dioxide to oxygen through photosynthesis.
