India and US have signed a deal to set up India's first national security semiconductor fabrication plant. The plant will produce chips for military hardware in both the countries, as well as for critical telecommunication networks and electronics. The project was announced after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden on Saturday.
