Mumbai has launched India's first pod taxi project at BKC, featuring driverless, electric pods for last-mile connectivity. The project with over ₹1,000 crore budget will span around 8.8 km with multiple stations, linking key transit hubs. Phase 1 has begun and is expected to be completed in 20 months, alongside work on the Thane-Borivali tunnel to boost connectivity.
