India's 1st transgender clinics in Hyd shut amid USAID fund freeze

US President Donald Trump administration's freeze on USAID foreign aid has led to the closure of India's first transgender community clinics in Hyderabad, impacting 5,000 people. The Mitr Clinics, which provided hormone therapy, mental health counselling and HIV treatment, are seeking alternate funding. Notably, a $21 million USAID voter turnout fund in India was also recently cancelled amid row.
