India’s first Vande Bharat freight train has begun its trial run, hitting a top speed of 145 kmph. The 16-coach train is equipped with refrigerated parcel facilities, four automatic wide sliding doors per coach, CCTV, LED lighting, a fire detection system, and container locking arrangements. The trials are expected to go on for around a month.
