India's been on global stage for 7,000 yrs: Misri on reporter's 'Has India arrived' query
A journalist asked Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, "President Trump praised PM Modi as a tough negotiator. Does this mean India has finally arrived on the world stage? Misri replied, "When I last checked, India has been on the world stage for the last 7,000 years." He added, "I'm not sure what exactly a particular meeting will or not do."
