India's Chetan misses out on Asiad karate bronze after losing to Chinese Taipei's Chung

Indian karateka Chetan Bhatt missed out on a bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games after losing to Chinese Taipei's Meng-yu Chung in the men's 84kg kumite playoff. The bout ended in a 1-1 draw, but Chung won through the Senshu rule after scoring first. Bhatt had earlier suffered an 8-0 semi-final defeat against Jordan's Mohammad Aljafari.
